Join Dr. Sara Rutledge for an interactive, kid-friendly walking tour of Indiana, PA
- 1.5 mile walk on flat sidewalks
- Stroller and wheelchair accessible
- Starts and ends at the Indiana County Historical Society
- Developmentally-appropriate for young children and aligns to the PA Common Core Standards
- At the beginning of the walking tour, children will choose "artifacts" from the basket which are aligned to fun facts along the way
- Great for school field trips, homeschool groups, PTA events, scout groups, community events, family reunions, birthday parties, afterschool programs, summer camps, and more!
- Highlights include: general history of Indiana County, early industry, Indiana Free Library, Jimmy Stewart Museum, churches, Indiana County War Memorial, New Courthouse, Old Courthouse, Vinegar Hill, Old Borough Building, William Houston House, Yellow Brick Road/Clymer Avenue, American Legion Building, Alexander Taylor House, Indiana County Street Railway Company, among others.
