Professionally, I serve as Professor of Education and Education Department Chairperson at Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, PA. This is my 21st year at Mount Aloysius and my 31st year as an educator. At Mount Aloysius College, I additionally serve as our Pennsylvania Department of Education Chief Certification Officer, as our U.S. Department of Education Title II Coordinator, and as the Chapter Advisor for the Alpha Lambda Zeta Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi: Honor Society in Education. I also currently serve on numerous committees including Academic Council, Promotion, Accreditation Cooperative and Academic Honors Societies. I additionally currently serve as a member of the Pennsylvania Department of Education Bureau of Special Education Attract, Prepare, Retain Steering Committee. I earned my B.A. in Sociology with teacher certification in Elementary Education (K-6) from Seton Hill University and my M.A. in Sociology (Summa Cum Laude) and D.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. My PA K-6 Teaching Certification (Act 48) is valid and active until 2028. My professional memberships include PAC-TE, ATE, NACT, NTA, PCTM, and KDP. I am also the Owner of Rutledge Educational Consulting, LLC.
