Dr. Sara Rutledge
Professionally, I serve as Professor of Education and Department Chairperson for Education and American Sign Language/English Interpreting at Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, PA. This is my 18th year at Mount Aloysius and my 28th year as an educator. I earned my B.A. in Sociology with teacher certification in Elementary Education (K-6) from Seton Hill University and my M.A. in Sociology (Summa Cum Laude) and D.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. My professional experience includes Pre-K through 7th grade teaching experience. My PA K-6 Teaching Certification (Act 48) is valid active until 2028. My professional memberships include PAC-TE, ATE, NACT, and KDP. I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators, as Co-Chair of the Technology and Teacher Education Committee for the Association of Teacher Educators, and as a member of the Pennsylvania Department of Education Bureau of Special Education APR Steering Committee. At Mount Aloysius College, I additionally serve as Chair of the Faculty Governance Council, Chair of Faculty Assembly, PDE Certification Officer and as the Title II Coordinator. I am also the Owner of Rutledge Educational Consulting, LLC and the Founder and Director of the National Pre-Service Teacher Resource Center.
